Indonesia Apparel Production 2014

ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) atau yang dikenal Pasar Bebas Asean sudah di depan mata, tepatnya akan diberlakukan pada tahun 2015. Seluruh negara anggota ASEAN telah sepakat segera mewujudkan integrasi ekonomi yang berarti dan nyata di kawasan Asia tenggara yaitu ASEAN.

Jika AEC tercapai, ASEAN akan berubah menjadi pasar tunggal, dimana terjadi arus barang, jasa, investasi dan tenaga terampil yang bebas, arus modal yang lebih bebas sehingga tingkat persaingan akan lebih tinggi.

Sementara di lain pihak, kita tidak bisa pungkiri rendahnya peringkat Indonesia dalam pelaksanaan di tahun 2013 (Doing Business 2013, International Finance Corporation, World bank) bahwa Indonesia menduduki peringkat 120 dari 189 negara. bahkan Indonesia berada di bawah jauh di bawah Thailand, Vietnam dan Filipina. Singapore (1), Malaysia (6), Brunei Darussalam (59), Vietnam (99), Filipina (108), Kamboja (137), Laos (159), dan Myanmar (182).

Seperti ditulis dalam pendahuluan buku katalog penyelenggara, itulah dasar pemikiran mengapa pameran Indonesia Apparel Production Expo & Indonesia Grafika Ekpo 2014 di Bandung dan rencananya di beberapa kota besar Indonesia perlu diselenggarakan. Lebih lanjut Panitia menegaskan, bahwa tujuan dari pameran ini adalah:

1. Peningkatan Daya Saing Sumber Daya manusia
2. Peningkatan Daya Saing manajemen Usaha
3. Peningkatan Daya Saing Infrastruktur Usaha (Peralatan dan Teknologi).

Sayangnya, saat Saya mengunjungi pameran di hari terahir, ternyata sepi pengunjung. Padahal Bandung dikenal kotanya mode Indonesia. Sering diibaratkan dengan sebutan Paris Van Java. Namun apresiasi pelaku bisnis fashion dan grafika dirasakan masih kurang. Entah mengapa, promosi yang kurang atau memang pebisnis fashion dan grafika yang tidak antusias dengan kegiatan pameran.
